Experience the Swiss alpine villages. First stop Grindelwald the buzzling glacier village with its spectacular views over the massive Eiger mountain. Enjoy a scenic tour through the valley before exploring the main street by foot. There is time to get some Swiss souvenirs and try some delicious pastry at the local bakery.
Our next stop is the beautiful Lauterbrunnen valley with its cliff walls, the mountains in the background, the picturesque Staubbachfall and traditional houses. This amazing valley was an inspiration to Tolkiens’ Lord of the Rings and a must see in the Jungfrau region. From April to October there is an option to visit the incredible Trümmelbachfalls – 10 chutes inside the mountain. The Trümmelbachfalls are truly a unique experience (minimum age 4 years).
From Lauterbrunnen we take cable car up to Grütschalp and from there we enjoy a 1.5 hour walk into the carfree mountain village of Mürren. If you prefer it easy we take a train to the village of Mürren and afterwards enjoy a little walk to discover this charming mountain village with breathtaking views of the Jungfrau mountain. We get down by the brand new aerial tramway between Stechelberg and Mürren, the steepest cable car in the world, with a gradient of 159.4%.
If you like to visit a more remote Swiss village and get off the main tourist track, then we drive to Isenfluh from where we'll take a small cable car up to the alp Sulwald. From up here you get magnificient views over the majestic peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
