We leave Interlaken in the morning. We drive along the lake of Thoune to the spectacular Beatus caves. It is the largest cave system in Switzerland. Additionally there is a cave museum and for our youngest guests there is a playground.
Our second stop is the Nepali bridge in Sigriswil. Pass the breath-taking bridge, which takes you over a stunning george. The suspension bridge was also a film location for CLOY – Crash landing on you, the famous Korean serie.
Enjoy the great view over the lake, the Swiss Alps and the villages at the lakeside before we continue our journey along the lake side to the castle of Oberhofen. We visit the botanical garden at the castle and if you like you can explore the castle as well (optional)
Great restaurants around Oberhofen with haute cuisine and great views invite you to have lunch with a view.
Our next stop is the charming city of Thoune – the getaway to the Alps. Thoune has a beautiful medieval town, an impressive castle overlooking the city and a lot of relaxing parks along the lake side.
In the afternoon, on our way back to Interlaken we stop at the picturesque Bay of Spiez with its beautiful castle park overlooking the lake.
In the summer months from April - October this tour can be combined with a scenic drive to the picturesque, remote Justistal and instead of visiting the city or a castle you can enjoy a typical Swiss barbecue or a beautiful walk to a small farmer restaurant and coffeebar.
