We leave Interlaken in the morning. After a short scenic drive along lake Brienz we reach Iseltwald. Enjoy a easy walk through this charming little Swiss village , located at a bay in the beautiful turquoise lake Brienz . Iseltwald is a small place with a strong cultural identity. Notably, a section of the village has been selected as a filming location for the popular television series, CLOY. We walk through the village and along the picturesque lake promenade.
End of morning we head to the Lauterbrunnen – the valley of the majestic cliffs and 72 waterfalls. This picturesque valley was inspiration for Tolkiens’ “Lord of the Rings”. We stroll around the village visit the Staubbachfal. Enjoy a typical Swiss lunch at one of the restaurants or buy some picnic and i show you an amazing picnic spot with great views. We also stop at the local bakery to try some Swiss specialities. If you like walking you can enjoy a 1 hour walk on flat terrain from the village to the incredible Trümmelbachfalls. From April to October the Trümmelbachfalls can be explored (no access for children under 4 years). The Trümmelbachfalls are 10 chutes inside the mountain and a visit is a unique experience.
In the afternoon we drive 20 minutes back to Interlaken. As we are native from Interlaken we show you the must sees but also the hidden gems off the beaten path. Explore by foot and car this cool liitle town enbedded between two lakes with great views of the Alps.
We drop you off at your hotel or preferred place around Interlaken / Jungfrau. For a surcharge you can get transfer to Lucerne or Berne.
